Tasks

The wiki is lacking content, to put it mildly. To hydrate it with pages, we recommend doing it in an organized way. We have tasks of varying degrees of difficulty and style.

LYSSA Wiki System

To enable editors to create a lot of pages without spending a million billion years filling in 1728 table cells manually, we require a certain system.

Say, a merc was added to the game. Ideal workflow:

  • We provide the data (numbers and artwork) about the mercenary
  • Editors put that into a single module and create its page
  • The merc is everywhere on the wiki:
    • It has its own page with all the date, subpages, stats, etc. already filled in
    • It pops onto all the tables (merc list + filtered lists, ability pages "used by" lists, etc.)

Now let's say that a merc was updated (nerfed stats, changed skills, whatever). Ideal workflow:

  • We provide the data (numbers and artwork) about the mercenary
  • Editors put that into a single module and add a changelog note on the merc's page
  • Data about the merc is updated everywhere:
    • Its page contains the current values and has a changelog on it
    • If something changed about the merc where they should no longer be in a list, they will no longer be in a list (say they had poison ability but lost it, now they're no longer on that page, and nobody had to remove them manually)

Here's how to tackle this:

  • Database module(s) and templates
    • For mercenaries
    • For commanders
    • For other relevant entities (events, etc.)

But a wiki for another game that's literally the same game but different has all of those solutions in place already!

Kinda. But it has some issues:

  • Needs an intermediate prep step between "we provide data" and "the data is in the module"
  • It takes 10s to load a character page
  • No changelog, no subpages

We'd like to address all of that

Intro Pages

The following pages (should) contain general descriptions of the game's mechanics. Besides being descriptive, it's desirable to make those pages easy to read

  • Commanders
  • Mercenaries
  • Recruitment Hub
  • Battle Room
  • Infinity Arena
  • News Square
  • Global Events
  • Level
  • Modification
  • Neural Link
  • Reboot
  • Boost
  • Fights
  • Leagues
  • Crates
  • Quests
  • Battle Pass

Tables

The following pages (should) contain information about the game's economy in details.

  • Mercenary List
  • Mercenary Levels

LYSSA Hub

This task is aimed at improving the Main Page. While we don't have a concrete plan and design for it, here are some things we'd like to see there:

  • Same or similar header with links to the game, social media, and this page
  • Events Pane
    • Current Global Event
    • Upcoming Global Event
    • Ongoing News Square events
    • Link to News Square event schedule
  • Guides Pane
  • Gameplay Pane
    • Basic definitions of LYSSA's core gameplay features. Same articles, better presentation
  • Squad
    • Same deal as above
  • Game Modes
    • Same deal as above
    • Maybe bundle Mercenary Meta there?
  • Mercenary Meta
    • Same deal as above

Guides

The following pages (should) contain easy-to-digest guides for LYSSA: Goddess of Rage. This is pretty much out of our hands, but there are some guides we'd like to see:
